Plan i?

(I apologize for the poor quality of the image... the fine print under the big, red slogan for the pill says "i-pill emergency contraceptive pill. Just one pill within 72-hours of unprotected sex.")

The paragraphs I'm looking at from the "Humanae Vitae" of the Supreme Pontiff Paul VI are the end of 13: " 'Human life is sacred- all men must recognize that fact,' Our predecessor Pope John XXIII recalled. 'From its very inception it reveals the creating hand of God.'"
Continuing into the beginning of 14: "Therefore We base Our words on the first principles of a human and Christian doctrine of marriage when We are obliged once more to declare that the direct interruption of generative process already begun and, above all, all direct abortion, even for therapeutic reasons, are to be absolutely excluded as lawful means of regulating the number of children."

Basically, this says that it's God's will if a baby is conceived and any prevention of this outside of abstaining from sex, especially aborting a pregnancy, is not within a our rights. It says all human life is precious and should not be terminated under any circumstances.

I'm arguing against what the Pope says about all contraceptive methods. I don't believe that it is rational to think that people will abstain from sex entirely if they don't want to have children, and therefore it's simply being responsible to use contraception to prevent pregnancy. There are also a lot of other ways contraceptives such as birth control pills and condoms are used for besides this, like regulating periods and making women more comfortable, and controlling the spread of STD's. In this sense, I don't think such forms of "techno-sexuality" are morally wrong at all. I agree that human life is sacred, but also that not all people can provide for children to have the kind of life all sacred human lives deserve. I feel that if God made it possible for such contraceptive devices to be created, then they should be utilized. However, I'm about to contradict myself in a way, I know, but I specifically approve of contraception meant to prevent pregnancy, which is why I emphasized that word earlier.

The ad above shows exactly what I think is too far. I do not agree with terminating pregnancy that has already happened. The slogan is extreme, inferring that an unplanned pregnancy is as easy and diary as cleaning up a spill. Human life is more valuable than that and pills like this just encourage carelessness. Even the name of the pill itself the "i-pill" reminds me of either "i-buprofen", which is something everyday, or something that indicates selfishness, because of the letter "i" in which a person would only be thinking about their life and not that of the conceived being's. There's a difference between simply being responsible and taking away the significant worth of a human life.
